The Real Story Behind Fake “Usher Bucks”
Usher caught flak for allegedly tipping dancers at a strip club with fake money, but the misunderstanding has now been cleared up.
Per reports, Usher and his entourage recently visited the Sapphire strip club in Las Vegas, Nevada. Later, Pisces – one of the dancers who entertained him – accused him of tipping her with fake dollar bills.
Taking to Instagram Stories on Monday, 12 April, Pisces shared pictures of the bills – in denominations of $1, $20 and $100 – with the 42-year-old “Scream” hitmaker’s face on them.
She wrote: “The money does not have a trade in value what so ever [sic]! Don’t y’all think he should be blasted on social media for this?”
However, a representative from the club soon explained that Usher and his entourage had in fact tipped the dancers quite generously with real cash ranging in thousands of dollars.
As for the “Usher Bucks”, one of the singer’s friends placed the money on the stage not only as a gag, but also to promote his new Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on 16 July.
